Walthall Rea Earns A Spot On The Plain Dealer’s Northeast Ohio’s 2018 Top Workplaces List

Regional CPA & Business Consulting Firm Takes 23rd Spot For Small-Sized Employers

Cleveland, Ohio – Walthall Rea, subsidiary of Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, has earned a spot on The Plain Dealer’s coveted 2018 Top Workplaces list. The annual list, which was published over the weekend, uses employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey to identify Northeast Ohio’s “Top Workplaces” among the area’s large-, medium- and small-sized employers. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, among others.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage, the company in charge of conducting the survey. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results.”

This is the seventh time Walthall Rea has won this award for the Northeast Ohio region and Wooster locations. Rea & Associates has 12 offices throughout Ohio and employs more than 300 professionals. The firm has worked to deliberately enhance its workplace culture, employee development programs and commitment to clients.

“We work hard to differentiate our team, and our firm as a whole, from others in our market. And to be regarded as one of the top workplaces in our industry once again is a great accomplishment of our people,” said Richard Lash, CPA, Northeast Ohio regional president. “The firm is always looking to improve internally to offer employees a great environment to work in while staying committed to our clients.”

Formerly Walthall CPAs, the firm merged with Rea & Associates in November 2017. Today, the firm’s offices in Amherst, Cleveland and Mentor operate as Walthall Rea. The team specializes in providing individuals, landowners, businesses, government entities and not-for-profit organizations with solutions to their accounting, tax and other business-related challenges.
