You’re in a meeting after business hours, and need access to a document from your Rea & Associates advisor. What can you do? If you have set up access through our client portal, you’ll have access to all the tax returns, financial statements, spread sheets or other financial documents you’ve developed with your Rea advisor 24/7.
Although we’ve had a client portal program at Rea for some time, we’ll be honest – it wasn’t as user-friendly as we would have liked. So we’ve upgraded the software to a program that is much easier to use. To get started, you’ll need to provide some basic information to your Rea advisor. You’ll receive an e-mail from Rea, instructing you to choose a username and password, and within a few days, you’ll be ready to use the client portal.
The portal allows you to view and download your financial documents, as well as upload documents for your advisor. If you have multiple entities, the portal allows you to access all of the information in one place. The information is kept on a secure server, and available whenever you need it. You’ll want to discuss with your Rea advisor what financial information you would like to have access to.
If you’re familiar with Rea’s Leap File program, it’s important to note the client portal differs from Leap File for transferring information. Leap File offers clients and advisors a one-time save for files, while the client portal saves all files and documents indefinitely. Consider it a secure and private storage place for your electronic financial information.
When you establish your portal account, you’ll receive a User Guide, which can answer many commonly asked questions. However, Rea’s IT team is also available to assist you with login IDs and passwords, and can assist you will any other technical issues.
The portal works best if you have Internet Explorer version 7.0 or higher and a Microsoft windows-based PC operating Windows XP or newer. Once you have been set up on the portal, you can access your financial information on Rea’s website by clicking on “client portal.”
Email Rea & Associates to set up your access to the client portal.
