Rea & Associates HR Manager Secures Caliper Foundation Certification

New Philadelphia, OH – Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, announces that Renee West, SHRM-CP, PHR, earned The Caliper Foundation Certification. For two days, West focused exclusively on psychometrics, compliance, interview questions and interpretation of the Caliper Profile behaviors and traits. West is the firm’s human resources manager.

“Rea & Associates is utilizing the Caliper assessment as a prescreening tool to measure applicant’s potential, personality characterizes, individual motivations and likely behaviors within the workplace,” explained West. “This assessment also allows us to structure an individual job model for each of our positions within Rea, focusing on key competencies identified for success within the position. Rea will also use Caliper in the talent development initiatives of our current employees. My certification enables us to administer, evaluate and interpret Caliper Profiles and complete analytical metric reports.

As the firm’s human resources manager, West is responsible for collaborating with senior leadership and office managers to drive execution of the firm’s HR strategies to achieve greater employee engagement and productivity. Specifically, West leads the firm’s recruitment and professional development efforts.

West has been a human resources professional for more than 20 years. During that time she has worked for businesses and organizations that specialize in professional services, manufacturing, not-for-profit and temporary staffing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Kent State University and went on to secure her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) & Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.

West was recently tapped to serve as the new workforce readiness director for the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management’s State Council Board, where she is responsible for recommending, developing, implementing and evaluating statewide workforce readiness initiatives and directing chapter level workforce readiness advocates. She also serves as the president of the Tuscora Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and has held numerous board positions within the chapter since 2007. Additionally, West is a member of the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School Board of Directors and is an active member of the TCC Saints Club. She lives in Dover.
