QuickBooks® Updates Discontinuation Policy, Upgrade Information

QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services, Live Support, Online Backup, Online Banking, and other services through QuickBooks Desktop 2015 software will be discontinued after May 31, 2018.

If you do not use any of the add-on services in QuickBooks Desktop 2015, your product will continue to work for you, but you will not be able to subscribe to live technical support or any of the other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop. Read on to learn more

Attention all users of QuickBooks Desktop 2015! After May 31, 2018, access to add-on services will be discontinued for those currently using all versions of the 2015 software. This includes QuickBooks Desktop 2015 Pro, Enterprise Solutions, Accountant Edition and Mac editions. That being said, if you do not use any of the add-on services in QuickBooks Desktop 2015, your product will continue to work for you, but you will no longer be able to:

  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Send your accountant of your company file.
  • Use or turn-on the multi-currency and exchange rate feature to assign specific currency types to your profiles and accounts or download the latest exchange rates within QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Connect to your bank through this version of the software, which will make online banking impossible.
  • Receive live technical support for installation, upgrades, error messages, product defects and more.

If you are using a product affected by service discontinuation and want to maintain access to your services, you’ll need to upgrade to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop as soon as possible.
