Topics or areas of expertise that Kristin can talk about (even in her sleep):
The basics of accounting
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
How we know she knows what she's doing:
Kristin received her associates degree in accounting from Zane State College
Before joining Rea, she was an intern for Fineline Imprints
How she's helped clients meet their business needs:
Kristin ran into an issue where the inventory had been overstated by several thousand dollars and she had to figure out the root of the problem. She immediately went back to basic accounting knowledge, what is credited and what is debited when inventory is sold and found out that the entry that was being made each time inventory was sold/used, was not removing anything from the inventory account. So, everything that was put into that account just sat there. The client was very pleased when she figured out the issue.
A client had a large order with over a thousand pieces come in, the amount that they paid was way less than what was owed. She had to go in and account for every piece that had been sold, figure out if the correct rate had been applied and figure out the cost for every order form. She discovered they were not applying the correct rate to the pieces sold.
