  • As a principal for Rea in the government services division, Bill is responsible for overseeing audit, agreed-upon procedures, financial statement preparation, and other accounting and consulting services for the government sector.

Bill received his bachelor's degree in finance from The Ohio State University

He began his accounting career as an auditor for the Ohio Department of Taxation, and then for the Auditor of State’s office

He was then a managing partner for a successful governmental accounting and auditing firm, Kennedy Cottrell Richards, which merged with Rea in 2020

Bill has over 30 years of experience in the accounting world

Furthering his professional development, Bill is involved with:

Central Ohio Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (member of the executive committee)

How he's helped clients meet their business needs:

A client had received a new federal grant for a major construction project. Bill assisted them in developing policies, procedures and a system of internal controls to administer the grant and he helped them achieve a clean Single Audit.

A newly formed state-level agency with over $5 billion in debt on its books, they needed a comprehensive set of financial statements in accordance with governmental GAAP. Bill assisted them in developing their financial statements and helped them achieve clean annual audits thereafter.
