Bob joined the Rea team in 2001, when his firm, Croskey, Hostetler & Mapes, PLL, merged with Rea. He lives in Loudonville, Ohio with his wife, Carol.

Before Rea

Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Ashland College.

At Rea

Bob is the director of oil & gas services and also the director of tax administration. He splits his time between the Wooster and Dublin offices. 

Bob specializes in working with high net worth families and their groups of entities. He has extensive experience with pass-through entity taxation, consolidations, multi-state taxation and estate planning. Development and administration of multi-tiered entities to mitigate taxes and asset protection is of special interest to him. Bob's involvement with the firm's oil and gas practice has given him extensive experience in uniquely structured business acquisitions.

Bob is extensively involved in the firm's Lean Six Sigma initiative as well as the development of the Lean CPA program. He has served as the firm champion on several internal projects. On the Lean CPA projects, he lends his expertise, mentoring and coaching to not only the firm's Lean CPA leader but also to the CPA firms that are implementing the Lean CPA process.

He has actively been involved in the Wooster community for more than 35 years:

• Wooster Area of Chamber of Commerce (board chairman, treasurer, exec board and board member, 15+ years)
• Nick Amster Sheltered Workshop (board member, 18 years)
• Goodwill Industries (board member, 6 years)
• Wayne County Airport Authority (chairman and board member, 6+ years)
• Wayne Holmes Estate Planning Council (secretary, 15 years)

Bob is also active in his profession. His professional memberships include:

• The Ohio Society of CPAs (Chairman of the North Central Chapter and Tax Committee)
