Rea's Dublin Office Raises More Than 1,500 lbs of Food for the Hungry

Sixth annual holiday food drive helps local community

Local families will have more food for the holidays thanks to the efforts of employees at Rea & Associates. Employees of the firm's Dublin office raised more than 1,550 pounds of food as part of a firm-wide drive that raised 24,000 pounds among the firm's 11 offices.

"I'm very proud of our team and their commitment to helping others," said Dave Cain, shareholder and manager of Rea's Dublin office. "Helping in the community is an important part of our culture here at Rea. The food drive was a great way for our offices to participate in a firm-wide effort that benefits each of our local communities."

Each office donated their collected food to a different charity. The Dublin office collections will benefit the Dublin Food Pantry. Firm-wide, employee donated an average of more than 100 pounds of food per person.

"It is great to be able to help the holiday season be a little brighter for so many families," said Wendy Roy, tax department coordinator and one of the food drive's coordinators. ""We've made the food drive an annual holiday event that entices friendly competition between our offices for a great cause," adds Candie Lodwick, client service specialist and food drive coordinator.
