Rea & Associates Welcomes Beachy

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, recently hired Kent Beachy, CPA, as a principal. He is the former CFO for T.W. Ruff and also spent 18 years at an area CPA firm, where he was a partner.

At Rea, Beachy specializes in the construction industry and is a certified construction industry technician (CIT). He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Cedarville University and obtained his CIT certification from Clemson University.

“We’re thrilled to bring Kent on board,” said John Vogelpohl, CPA, CCIFP, manager of the Dublin office and head of the construction specialty service. “His strong construction background will prove invaluable to our current and future construction clients.”

Outside of Rea, Beachy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs (where he has served on the construction industry committee) and the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio (where he has served on the BX Financial Group). He is also a member and past president of Construction Financial Management Association and is treasurer and member of the finance committee for Shiloh Church.

A native of Kokomo, Indiana, Beachy now lives in Columbus and has two sons, Wade and Garrett. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports and learning about computers and technology.
