Mentor, Ohio – WomenSafe will have more than 900 pounds of additional food to share with those in need this holiday season thanks to generous team members at Rea & Associates. The Mentor office of the CPA firm raised 940 pounds of food as part of a firm-wide drive that raised nearly 18,000 pounds among the firm's 11 offices.
"We know that the need for food is greater than ever this holiday season," said Ryan Dumermuth, CPA, CFP, office manager at Rea's Mentor office. "Ever since Richard Rea founded Rea & Associates in 1938, helping our community has been an important part of our culture. The food drive is a way that all of our offices can work together to support a common cause that benefits each of the local communities we serve."
Laura Blystone, administrative assistant and one of the food drive's coordinators, said, "We are lucky to work side-by-side with some very generous, awesome people. Year after year, they continue to amaze me with the donations they bring."
Each Rea office designated a local charitable organization to receive the donations from its food collection. The offices held a friendly competition to determine which office could raise the most pounds of food per employee. Rea's Mentor team donated an average of 72.3 pounds of food per person.
