New Philadelphia, Ohio – A blogging frog named Drebit is helping Rea & Associates, Inc. answer business owners' most burning financial questions. This brand new blog, found at www.DearDrebit.com, provides information on a wide-range of accounting, tax and general business issues.
The whole idea of Drebit started out as a joke - a lighthearted moment in during a long brainstorming session. "'Debit' and 'credit' are widely used accounting terms, and when you smash them together, you get 'drebit.' To us it sounded like ‘ribbit,' and the frog idea was born," said Marketing Director Katie Tolin. "While a frog originally seemed crazy, we realized that a mascot would be a unique way for our firm to share business information in a format that appeals to readers and ultimately helps our clients."
The blog provides information in a Q & A format. Readers can submit their own questions to be answered in a future posting, similar to something you would see in a "Dear Abby" column.
"There are many advice columns out there that start with 'Dear.' People turn to these columnists for help with their problems. We want business professionals to reach out to Drebit, and ultimately Rea & Associates, when they have problems they need help solving," Tolin said.
New questions will be added to the blog several times each week along with an answer provided by one of the firm's 100 plus consultants.
