New Philadelphia, Ohio – Rea & Associates recently announced that Mike Noretto, CPA, CVA, has retired from public accounting after 35 years with the firm to become chief financial officer at Heritage Plastics, in Carrollton, Ohio, effective October 31.
“We are grateful for Mike’s years of dedication and service to Rea,” said Lee Beall, CPA, Rea’s CEO. “Mike has always wanted to experience implementing the strategy and tactics that we recommend to our valued clients, and at Heritage he has that opportunity. Mike has had a profound impact on our firm, our team and our clients during his time at Rea. While we are sad to see him leave our firm, we are excited for his new opportunity in the private sector and wish him well.”
After receiving a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Akron, Noretto joined the firm in 1976, and was hired by the firm’s founder, Richard Rea, and second CEO, Chet Stocker. During his time with the firm, Noretto developed a special rapport with the firm’s manufacturing clients. He eventually became director of manufacturing services and was a principal at the firm.
Noretto and his wife, Joan, live in New Philadelphia. They have three adult children, Matthew, Nicole and Stephani as well as several grandchildren.
