Katie joined the Rea team in 2003. She is a lifelong resident of Canton.

Before Rea

Katie obtained her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Ohio Northern University, graduating with distinction, and her Master of Arts from Emerson College in Boston. Her previous experience includes five years as the marketing coordinator of a local law firm and internships in the 1996 United States presidential campaign and a state treasurer's campaign office.

At Rea

Katie specializes in marketing, public relations, product management and business development.

In 2010, she was named Accounting Marketer of the Year by CPA Practice Management Forum and the Association for Accounting Marketing.

Under her leadership, the firm has won 11 Association for Accounting Marketing Marketing Achievement Awards as well as a Silver Quill and Best of Division award in the communications management category from the Heritage Region of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Besides Rea

Her professional memberships include:

• Association for Accounting Marketing (vice president of the board of directors, member of the board of directors [2007-present], liaison to the conference committee)
• Moore Stephens North America (marketing committee member, past marketing committee chair)

Katie is also a frequent writer. In addition to authoring articles for numerous newsletters, she contributed an article on planning events to demonstrate corporate social responsibility to the PR News Guide to Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility. She also authored a chapter on marketing the multi-office firm for Bull™s-Eye: The Ultimate How-To Marketing & Sales Guide for CPAs, a book published by the AICPA and the Association for Accounting Marketing.

She is also active in her community, including:

• Junior Achievement of East Central Ohio (board of directors, executive committee, marketing committee chair, classroom volunteer)
• Ohio Northern University B.E.A.R.S., Building Energetic Alumni Resources for Students, program (college fair representation)
