Renee West Passes The Senior Certified Professional Exam

Rea’s Human Resources Manager Earns SHRM’s Highest Credential

New Philadelphia, Ohio – Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, announces that Renee West, SHRM-SCP, PHR, earned the highest available certification for human resource professionals by the National Society for Human Resource Management. West currently serves as Rea’s human resources manager, a position that oversees firm-wide HR functions for 300 employees across 13 Ohio offices.

Qualifications to sit for the exam include being an HR professional who develops strategies, leads human resource functions, fosters influence in the community, analyzes performance metrics and aligns human resource strategies to organizational goals. Individuals also need to have previously obtained the PHR-SHRM certification. West originally obtained PHR-SHRM certification in 2011 and was recertified in 2015.

The SHRM-SCP credential awards the recipient respect throughout the HR community as a recognized expert and leader in the HR field.

With more than 20 years of experience in the HR industry, West is responsible for leading Rea’s recruitment and professional development efforts. She actively collaborates with senior leadership and office managers to drive execution of the firm’s human resources strategies and initiatives in an effort to achieve greater employee engagement and productivity.

A member of the Rea team since 2015, West earned her business management degree from Kent State University. She resides in Dover.
