Senior Manager at Rea & Associates Earns Respected Credential
New Philadelphia – Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, announces that Derek Conrad, a senior manager in the firm’s New Philadelphia office, has earned the Advanced Single Audit Certification.
The Advanced Single Audit Certificate was developed by the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center and serves as a demonstration of one’s ability to plan, direct, and report on single audits following the Uniform Guidance. In obtaining this certification, Conrad’s knowledge in the single audit area has been expanded, which will give clients more confidence in his ability and in the firm’s ability to provide quality solutions for their advanced issues.
“Derek has really jump in to help provide solutions to many of our clients with regard to Uniform Guidance and, in doing so, has emerged as a firm-wide resource in this area. This certification solidifies his role on our team,” said Zac Morris, CPA, director of government services at Rea. “Achieving his Advanced Single Audit Certification is a testament to his continued commitment to education, which is a true benefit for both the firm and our clients.”
As a senior manager at Rea, Conrad regularly leads government audit engagements. Other areas of Conrad’s expertise include governmental financial reporting, internal control structure, fraud risks and A-133/ORC compliance. A resident of Tuscarawas, Conrad has more than 10 years of accounting experience. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northwestern Ohio.
