Inside the Mind Of...

Who is/was the most influential person in your life/career? My parents. Mary Ellen and the late Jim Wright

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? You don't always have to be the best at something to enjoy it.

What did you learn your first year on the job that you still use today? Not being satisfied with a job for a client unless it was the way I would do it for myself.

Describe yourself in one word. Personable.

What is the best book you've ever read? Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom

What was your favorite class in college? Greek Mythology.

How do you spend April 16th? Sleeping.

What one thing about you would most people find surprising? I taught dance for 17 years to 3-4 year olds

What was the first car you ever owned?   A Buick station wagon.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Alaska.

Before Rea

Maribeth earned her bachelor of arts degree from Mount Union College. Prior to joining Rea, she was with a local CPA firm for eight years.

At Rea

Maribeth specializes in tax compliance for not-for-profit organizations. She has also made various presentations on accounting and tax issue to local organizations. In addition, she taught many classes at Zane State College.

Besides Rea

She is also very active in her community. Her involvement includes:

  • Guernsey County Foundation (president)
  • Southeastern Regional Medical Center (trustee)
  • Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (trustee)
  • United Way (past president, treasurer and trustee)
  • Rotary Club of Cambridge (past president)

Maribeth was awarded the Jeffersonian Person of the Year in 2001 and in 2008,

Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce honored her with the Distinguished Public Service award.
