Clay joined the Rea team in 1981. He is a native and resident of Dublin, Ohio, where he lives with his wife Lynn and children Abby, Alex & Erin.

Inside the Mind Of...

What do your clients get when they work with you that they may not get from other consultants? I try to understand what lies behind the scenes with my clients and their finances. By understanding non-financial matters, I can provide better advice and service..

Why do you do what you do? I often joke with clients that numbers are my life, but it's really true. I truly enjoy the one-on-one contact with my clients and cherish my role as trusted advisor to them.

What is the best advice you have ever received?You can't unmake a first impression.

If you could have lunch with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?Isaac Asimov.

What was your favorite class in college? Computer Science.

Describe the best vacation you've ever taken. I spent two weeks at our summer cottage in northern Ontario with my family and parents.

What did you want to be when you grew up? An architect.

How do you spend April 16? Playing golf with my wife.

What one thing about you would most people find surprising? I have a passion for good science fiction.

Clay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ohio State University. His past experience includes:

  • 2001 Ohio State Alumni Society Leader award
  • 2002 Irish Festival "Best of the Fest" volunteer award
