What’s your greatest accomplishment? Successfully changing careers and passing the CPA exam.

What do your clients get when they work with you that they may not get from other consultants? Someone who is able to look at things from a different perspective, and someone who takes an interest in their organization.

Who is the most influential person in your life/career? My wife.

Describe yourself in one word. Conscientious.

What is your favorite movie of all-time? The Quiet Man.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Israel.

What was the first car you ever owned? A 1975 Chevy Nova.

How do you unwind? With a good glass of wine.

What one thing about you would most people find surprising? I was a high school wrestling official for more than 10 years.

Before Rea

Alan earned a certificate in accounting from Columbus State Community College. He also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Ohio University. His past experience includes:

  • Local CPA firm: senior accountant
  • American Motorcyclist Association: accounting director
  • Local CPA firm: auditor
  • National City Bank: field examiner
  • Auditor of State: internship

Alan specializes in accounting and auditing for not-for-profit organizations, including audits in accordance with Government Accounting Standards and OMB Circular A-133.
