Darlene joined the Rea team in 1991. A native of New Philadelphia, Ohio, she now resides in Stone Creek, Ohio, with her husband, Eric. Darlene and Eric have a dog (DW, a chocolate lab), a cow (Moo) and many donkeys.

Before Rea

Darlene earned her bachelor's degree in accounting, as well as an associate's degree in accounting technology, from Kent State University. Her previous experience includes two years at a local accounting firm.

At Rea

Darlene specializes in benefit plan audits.

Besides Rea

Darlene's professional memberships include:

• The American Institute of CPAs
• The Ohio Society of CPAs, serving on the Ohio CPA Foundation Development Committee and the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Conference Planning Committee.
• She is a certified 401(k) plan administrator (QKA) with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
• She also holds certified senior advisor credentials with the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.

She is also active in the community. Her involvement includes:

• Kent State University Tuscarawas Accounting Advisory Committee
• Tuscarawas County Farm Safety (chair)
• Full Life Center (board member and volunteer)
• Tunnel Hill Community Center (advisory member)

Darlene also received the 8th annual Distinguished Alumni award from Kent State University Tuscarawas.
