Rea & Associates in the Community

Rea & Associates Inc. has a long heritage of supporting the communities in which we work. Many of our team members volunteer thousands of hours to organizations that they are passionate about. Just a few of these groups include the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, crisis centers and shelters, Goodwill, Habitat For Humanity, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Share A Christmas and the United Way,

Firm-wide, our team members participate in an annual "Help Can Hunger" food drive each fall, where members of each office compete to bring in the most canned food items for their local food pantry for the holidays. This friendly competition helped the firm raise more than 12 tons of food in 2009.

Rea staff members also participate in the annual Accounting For Kids Day event, presented each November by members of the Ohio Society of CPAs. More than 50 accountants and staff members worked with more than 800 elementary students across the state in 2009. The professionals led students in an interactive game about the stock market and the rewards of real-life investing, which encouraged them to make smart financial decisions and become savvy consumers and business leaders.
