Dublin, Ohio - Rea & Associates recently hired Ben Froese as staff accountant and Alan Portnoy as senior accountant. They work in the firm's Dublin office.

"We are pleased to welcome Ben and Alan to our team," said John Vogelpohl, CPA, shareholder and office manager in Rea's Dublin office. "They are both well-suited to their positions and we are excited to have them."

Froese joins Rea & Associates after earning hisbachelor of science in accounting from  Franklin University, where he was on the President's List. He also earned a bachelor of science in business from Goshen College and an associate degree in business from Hesston College, and was on the President's List at both colleges. Prior to joining Rea, he worked as a service technician for two years at Hill-Rom. He also previously served as foreman on his family's farm.

A native of Cheraw, Colorado, he lives in Hilliard with his wife, Brianne.

A native of Illinois, Portnoy comes to Rea & Associates after working as a senior accountant with Norman, Jones Enlow & Associates CPAs. He also held the position of auditor with Dixon, Davis, Bagent & Co. CPAs, served as a field examiner for National City Bank and as accounting director at the American Motor Cycle Association. Portney earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Ohio University and served as a reporter and copy writer at newspapers in Ohio, Tennessee, Mississippi and Illinois for 17 years. He earned his certificate in accounting concentration from Columbus State Community College.

Portney lives in Columbus with his wife, Ruth.
